Melbourne Airport's Chief of Ground Transport, Property, and Retail, Jai McDermott, stated, "This project will take an estimated 70,000 cars off Terminal Drive each day and provide a more resilient road network designed to reduce stress for passengers either departing or arriving."
What Travelers Need to Know
- Book Parking Online: With fewer parking spaces available, it’s crucial for travelers to book their parking spots online in advance to secure the best rates, especially during peak times like long weekends and holidays.

- Commercial Vehicles: Once stage two is completed, the existing forecourt of the terminals will be exclusively used by commercial vehicles such as SkyBus, taxis, rideshare, and shuttle buses.
